KPCC/LAist Content Inclusion Analysis
In spring 2023, Impact Architects analyzed a representative portion of LAist content to determine whether practices match LAist’s Dialogue style guide for inclusivity, which emphasizes story framing and inclusive language. We found that LAist content fulfills its standards for inclusive language, but that recently applied standards, such as alt text for accessibility, require more training.
The report builds off of an initial summer 2022 content audit of KPCC/LAist audio, digital, and newsletter content, and to provide KPCC/LAist insight into its practices.
